Pizza Pockets / Calzones
Ingredients

For Crust: Make regular pizza dough
For Filling
- 1 can tomato paste
- 1/2 onion, chopped
- 1/2 green pepper, chopped
- green and/or black olives
- pepperoni
- sausage
- mozzarella cheese
- pizza seasoning (basil, oregano, fennel, pepper)
- beaten egg (to seal edges & top)
Instructions
- Make sausage. Prepare all other ingredients (chop veggies).
- Mix all together. May need 1/2 can of tomato sauce to thin it out a little.
- Add a few spoonfuls of filling to dough.
- Brush edges of dough with beaten egg, press edges together to seal.
- Set on sprayed cookie sheet. Let raise 10+ minutes
- Brush top of pocket with beaten egg.
- Bake 12-15 minutes at 450° F / 232° C
- Can be frozen after baking, and once cooled.
